Position: Crew Chief
Position Overview: The Crew Chief serves as the lead team member responsible for the overall performance, preparation, and strategy of Second Law Motorsports’ winged sprint car. This role demands a deep understanding of sprint car mechanics, race strategy, and team leadership to ensure peak on-track performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee the entire race team, ensuring all aspects of car preparation and race execution align with team goals.
• Develop race strategies, including adjustments to the car’s setup, handling, and aerodynamics.
• Supervise and coordinate pit operations, ensuring efficient repairs, tire changes, and refueling.
• Work closely with the driver to fine-tune performance and provide race-day feedback.
• Analyze track conditions, weather, and competitor strategies to make real-time adjustments.
• Manage equipment, inventory, and ensure all team assets are race-ready.
• Mentor and train junior team members, including the Car Chief and ButtonTire Specialist.
• Oversee compliance with safety standards and race regulations.
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in sprint car racing, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of chassis setups, suspension tuning, and aerodynamics.
• Proven ability to make data-driven race decisions under pressure.

Position: Car Chief
Position Overview: The Car Chief is the second-in-command, responsible for the sprint car’s mechanical integrity and daily maintenance. This role ensures the vehicle is in optimal condition for competition, working under the direction of the Crew Chief.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the assembly, maintenance, and preparation of the sprint car for race day.
• Execute chassis setup and suspension adjustments as directed by the Crew Chief.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and ensure timely, accurate repairs.
• Coordinate with the engine builder and Crew Chief to optimize powertrain performance.
• Maintain a detailed log of all mechanical work, including part replacements and setup changes.
• Assist in pit lane operations, including fueling and last-minute adjustments.
• Collaborate with the Tire Specialist to ensure proper tire selection and maintenance.
Qualifications:
